1. Kefalonia: The village of Assos with its Venetian castle, overgrown with pines and cypresses, the cosmopolitan Fiskardo, Argostoli, the capital of the island, and Lixouri, the “Little Paris” of Kefalonia. The cave of Drogarati, 150 million years old, is also a sight to see. 2. Zakynthos: Around Zakynthos is the first National Marine Park of Greece. Rare sea turtles Caretta caretta “frequent” here.
