Studies are one of the most important stages in the course of any technical project. At an initial stage, the first thoughts are cultivated so that they can be transformed into decisions. All decisions, always made with the employer’s needs as a starting point, must be depicted in the best possible way in the drawings. The studies are always prepared in accordance with all legal specifications, starting from the preliminary study, to the final study and the implementation study in which all construction details are illustrated. Following the previous process, we seek the best result with scientific documentation of the project in all phases of its processing. We present to you some of our projects.
Architectural design
When designing a building from scratch, the design process has to take under consideration several parameters towards decision-making and final execution of the project (construction). Those parameters include on site examination, examination of the adjacent buildings (semi-detached or attached cases) and consideration of the climatic conditions so that the building will be harmonically positioned on its place.
Structural design
Due to high earthquake threat in Greece some buildings need reinforcement in order to avoid unwelcome incidents in the future. In such cases, a bearing structure has to be examined thoroughly by specialized engineers and technicians who will later propose solutions depending on the problem. Focusing on the structure and calculating its competence we might as well carry on with the erection of more storeys above it. The process as described above constitutes a multi-layered technical study and work that begins with the excavation and continues until the final stage right before power supply.
Old buildings and historic monuments restoration
Our successful collaboration with the Greek National Tourism Organization over the years has built our experience in old structures and monuments restoration. Our services include restoration of preserved buildings with aesthetic qualities, mainly stone bearing structures. In order to reinforce a building the following process goes like this; the structure is carefully examined and alongside a photographic survey we identify the severity of the problem and propose solutions.
